Your change adds up: Operation Round Up program funds 12 local charitable projects

In the first year of Operation Round Up, TCEC members have donated nearly $70,000 to local charitable causes through the program. Money has gone to local fire departments, schools, food pantries, mentoring programs, senior centers and more.

The Foundation board would like to thank transmission owner GridLiance for their $5,000 donation to the Operation Round Up program. The board also thanks TCEC members who voluntarily round up their electric bills. Generous contributions like these have made $69,700 in local donations possible since January 2021.

Co-ops Care: PTCI and TCEC come together to donate $5,000 to local Y

The YMCA of Texas County in Guymon is more than a gym; it’s a community. PTCI and TCEC, two local cooperatives, brought the Seventh Cooperative Principle of ‘Concern for Community’ to life with their joint contribution of $5,000 for the thirteenth consecutive year to kick off the 2022 YMCA fundraising campaign.

Contributions to the YMCA fund scholarships, keep memberships and programs affordable, maintain the facility and improve the YMCA’s sustainability.

PTCI and TCEC donated a combined $2,360 as a part of their Co-ops Care initiative to make sure this iconic piece of Guymon history keeps rolling down the tracks.

TCEC's Commitment to Community: Members Give Back

TCEC established Operation Round Up with a mission of giving funds for charitable, educational, or emergency service purposes. Members can voluntarily round their bills up to an even dollar amount, giving them a chance to make a difference in their communities. Though this may seem like small change to an individual, together, it significantly impacts organizations throughout the cooperative’s service area.
