
TCEC members and their children may be eligible for the below scholarships. Applications are available from OPSU's Panhandle State Foundation and Golden Spread Electric Cooperative as outlined below. Oklahoma Panhandle State University Scholarship
Entering freshmen or returning sophomores should apply.
TCEC funds 8 scholarships valued at $2,000 each to Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell. They are administered through the Panhandle State Foundation. Applications will open on the OPSU website on December 1, 2022, closing on February 15, 2023
Students interested in the scholarship must meet the following requirements:
- Entering freshman or returning sophomore
- 3.00 GPA or higher
- The applicant must be a high school senior or graduate of a high school served by TCEC. Homeschooled youth are eligible as long as their residence is in the TCEC service territory.
Applicants are asked to attach a statement or list of community service and non-academic activities.
High school seniors should apply.
High school seniors attending a school within the TCEC service territory whose parents or guardians are members of the cooperative are eligible. Two high school seniors from the TCEC service area will be selected to attend and receive the $500 scholarship.
Contact your high school counselor or apply online beginning November 1, 2023. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on January 10, 2024.
Applicants must be able to attend the Youth Leadership Summit scheduled for Monday, March 18 for, 2024, during the event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. More details will be provided to those selected for the Summit and scholarship.
Forfeiture of Scholarship - The $500 scholarship will be forfeited if the chosen applicant does not attend the Youth Leadership Summit event.
TCEC is member of Golden Spread Electric Cooperative which offers a $2,000 scholarship to students who plan to attend a college in Kansas, Oklahoma or Texas. The scholarship deadline is March 1 each calendar year and applications should be made directly to the Opportunity Plan. The application and brochure can be found on Golden Spread's website.
