Leaves are falling from the trees. Children are contemplating their Halloween costumes. The smell of pumpkin spice fills the air.
This time of year means it’s time again to mark your calendar for the fourth annual Pumpkins at the Park event on the east side of Thompson Park in Guymon on October 8 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Panhandle Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (PTCI) and Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) are holding the free event to celebrate National Co-op Month. The cooperatives’ shared purpose is to give back to the community while highlighting the many advantages cooperatives offer to their members and the communities in which they live and work. Nationwide, cooperatives create 2.1 million jobs and generate more than $650 billion in sales and other revenue annually.
Fun for the whole family
Pumpkins at the Park promises fun for the whole family. Activities offered at the event are:
- Pumpkins (children only, please)
- Pumpkin Decorating Contest (children up to age 13)

Everyone is welcome
The event is free and open to the public. PTCI and TCEC are local cooperatives serving the Oklahoma Panhandle.
