The Lions Club Train at Sunset Lake has brought smiles to panhandle area kids since its first ride in 1958. But the G16 1946 Model was badly in need of a transmission overhaul. That’s when two Panhandle cooperatives came together to provide the funds needed for the repairs. PTCI and TCEC donated a combined $2,360 as a part of their Co-ops Care initiative to make sure this iconic piece of Guymon history keeps rolling down the tracks.
