Accepting Applications for Communications Intern

TCEC will be accepting applications through March 4, 2019, for the position of Communications Intern who is a student at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. The position will assist with the development, recommendation and preparation of internal and external communication publications and materials to enhance member, employee and community understanding and awareness of the cooperative’s activities.

Applicant should be proficient in Internet and Microsoft Office applications with a willingness to learn other software programs. Applicant should have the ability to communicate in a professional manner with the press and community contacts.

The intern will assist with the research, writing, editing, photography, use of graphics and the production and distribution of member newsletter, employee newsletter, brochures and bill inserts, new member packets, district and member meeting notices. They will assist with the creation of videos and graphics. They will assist with the development and maintenance of the cooperative’s website and intranet and in the maintenance of publications, photos and video library.

TCEC will compensate the OPSU intern at a rate of $11.25 per hour. Intern is limited to no more than one thousand (1,000) hours per calendar year.
