District meetings are every member’s opportunity to be involved in the process that makes this electric cooperative unique. They exemplify the cooperative principle of Democratic Member Control.

TCEC Recognized by Department of Defense

In the photo below, Chris Purdy, right, presents TCEC CEO Zac Perkins, left, with a patriotic employer award from the Office of the Secretary of Defense. It recognizes Perkins and TCEC “For contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force. Purdy, vice president of member solutions at TCEC, serves in the United States Army Reserves.

New trustee appointed to fill District 2 vacancy

In the April Board Meeting, TCEC’s Board of Trustees voted to appoint Gayla James of Boise City to fill the vacant seat for District 2.

TCEC member Gayla James won the advisory election at the District 2 special meeting on Thursday, April 6, in Boise City.

More than 100 votes were cast at the meeting, demonstrating the cooperative principle of Democratic Member Control at its best.

TCEC featured in On The Bricks TV Show

Main Street Guymon's Melyn Johnson came to TCEC to interview Member Solutions Vice President Chris Purdy for the May episode of PTCI's On The Bricks TV Show. They talked about the experimental wind turbine and the TCEC Community Solar array. Watch the episode on YouTube to learn more.

 

TCEC Employees Receive Awards and Certifications

The communications team at TCEC recently won a national award for their efforts on the TCEC Community Solar program. Three employees participated in the local Leadership Guymon program. And TCEC's Jay Nunley completed the Certified Key Accounts Executive program.

Co-op Connections: Generac Dealers offer extended warranty

While TCEC strives to keep the lights on all the time, sometimes Mother Nature or other events beyond our control cause extended power outages.

Co-op Connections: First Security Bank, Beaver

TCEC members who present their Co-op Connections card at First Security Bank in Beaver will receive a free box of regular checks; No service charge checking for personal accounts; free internet banking with free bill pay and free debit card. Member FDIC.

After 11 days, all residential power outages are restored

Power came on at the last residence at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 11. Eleven days is a long time to be without power. TCEC values our members and all their kind comments during that time. Any members who do not have power at their home at this time should call TCEC at 580.652.2418 to report their outage.

About 150 nonresidential meters total are still without power today. The remaining outages will continue to be worked over the weekend and in the coming weeks.
