Scammers are targeting TCEC members, please report suspicious calls

TCEC members have recently reported receiving bill payment scam phone calls. Remember, TCEC never contacts members to demand immediate payment prior to disconnection. Anyone receiving such a call should hang up and call us directly at 580-652-2418.

TCEC encourages area youth to apply for leadership trips

HOOKER, Okla. (Dec. 23, 2014) – Applications for TCEC’s 2015 high school youth trips and the eighth grade YouthPower Energy Camp trip are now available. TCEC is looking for five delegates who are high school juniors and four who are eighth graders. Applications must be received at TCEC by February 6, 2015. All area eligible students whose parents or guardians are TCEC members are encouraged to apply.

TCEC donates to Beaver County First Responders

HOOKER, Okla. (Oct. 27, 2014) – Area first responders received financial donations from Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) on Oct. 23. Chris Purdy, TCEC vice president of Member Solutions, presented the checks during a recent meeting. TCEC also served the meal for the meeting. They enjoyed hamburgers, beans, chips and cookies.

“Commitment to Community is one of the seven cooperative principles we abide by,” Purdy said. “These donations are just one example of that. We’re grateful for the service and dedication of our area first responders. They are valuable partners to us.”

TCEC Announces District Meeting Results


HOOKER, Okla. (July 28, 2014) – TCEC hosted district meetings the week of July 21 to hold elections for the board of trustees in accordance with the bylaws of the cooperative.

HOOKER, Okla. (July 17, 2014) – Youth Tour students returned to the Panhandle in June from a packed schedule touring the nation’s capital. The 2014 winners of TCEC’s Youth Tour contest were:

TCEC recovers from summer storm

HOOKER, Okla. (July 9, 2014) – Power has been restored to all TCEC members affected by the June 30 storm, which knocked power out to more than 9,000 meters initially. TCEC recovered from the widespread damage in record time in which nearly 40 percent of the cooperative’s meters were without power.

Power now restored to most residential members

HOOKER, Okla. (July 4, 2014, 10 a.m. update) – As of 9 a.m. on July 4, about 140 TCEC meters remain off, most of them nonresidential. About 20 residences remain without power and the cooperative plans to restore power to those members as soon as possible.
